The Karroon are a council of 9 Yettish monks of the Keld who rule over the entire monastic order, and oversee its daily operations. It is lead, in turn, by a Headmaster who oversees the daily administrations of the council, and the Keld as a whole, but is not counted among the 9 members of the council. In many ways the Headmaster acts as the president of the Keld, and the council as its congress, or senate, as their roles are very similar in nature to their secular counterparts.
