The Reception Center is a tall, dark, somewhat intimidating structure located at the very beginning of the race and receives all new participants who have been recently abducted from Earth and brought to the planet of Offworld. At this location they are given their implants, their Initial Starter Pack, which includes an instruction book and other necessities, and then sent out the door to begin their journey. The center is run by the controllers who run the race, and is the first thing that all new participants see upon arriving. This is also the location of the famous Checkpoint Home, otherwise known as "Node Zero" where new racers are introduced to the Resource Node system for acquiring supplies as they travel down the trail.
