Great Currents

From ROI Wiki

Great Currents is a generalized G'Fondo'Nah greeting, and is used in many different ways to express the current emotion of the individual, set the formality of the greeting, and more. If you were to say "Great Currents lift you up," to a Fondo, this would be the same thing as saying, "Greetings, and great blessing upon you." This phrase can also be used negatively, such as "May Great Currents drown your wings." In other words, "May you suffer great misfortune and tragedy." In short, it would be their ultra polite way of cussing you out. :)

So the phrase "Great Currents" acts as a general greeting, and can refer not only to air and air currents, which birds greatly prize, but it can also be used to imply, or express, a great number of other things, both good, bad, and sometimes neutral. The ultimate meaning of that phrase, however, depends heavily on the speaker, as well as their tone, and the context or meaning of the other words and phrases enjoined with it. So, in summary, the human equivalent of this phrase would be something akin to "Greetings," or simply "Hello", with other words and sentences being used to qualify or expand upon the initial greeting.
