Jathal is the Weyr Master of Reathrin Weyr. He's a lifelong friend of Zek and a lover of the sea. Where Zek likes mountains and the wilds of the east, Jathal is at home on the sea, and is just about one step short of being a water dragon, given how much he enjoys it. He is also a very flamboyant and charismatic leader, and is considered by many to have far too much energy for his age.
