Vladimir Umnov

Vladmir Umnov is a spy, and an expert one at that, who serves in both Fleet Intelligence and the SIC. He, along with his partner Lars Nordic, are among the best spies in all of Sol Space, and as such they are almost always given the most difficult missions by their boss knowing that, no matter how tough it gets, they will always come through. Vlad's family hails from Russia and, while he isn't an [[inductee], his parents were. As such, he still has a slight Russian accent when speaking, even though he's native born inside the Society. His friendship with, and loyalty to his partner Lars is bulletproof, and never wavers, even at the point of his premature death.

Vlad's skills as a computer hacker, and cypher expert, are the best in the SIC, and are used on several occasions to hack into computer systems throughout the galaxy, including on Sebius during the events of Destiny's Mission, and on The Haven during the events of Empire Rising. He ultimately dies during a firefight to protect the controls for the singularity core of the Haven. After his death, Lars never takes another partner, as he feels that he can never find someone who can ever replace Vlad.
