The Weavers are a multi-dimensional race of super beings in the same strip as the Murg, except that their purpose is to protect the galaxy from all harm and destruction, and most especially the malevolent interests of the Murg. However, like the Murg, they are few in number, and unable to properly defend the multiverse using their own powers. So they've seeded the multiverse with Miraical (aka "Forges") Devices to help in that effort. They are also the race who created the Benoi many eons earlier to act as their agents within the multiverse to help keep the peace.
