Forge.jpg

The Forges, as they're commonly known, are a sentient, highly advanced, piece of super technology, controlled and built by both the Weavers, and the Murg, which are made of a technology called a Quantum Alloy which are used as very powerful, host dependent weapons systems meant to help lesser beings within a dimension to either defend their home dimensions from attack (Weavers) or to attack and destroy, or thwart other Forges (Murg) who are trying to protect the homes of their hosts. The Forges were originally created many tens of thousands of years ago by both sides in this many, many eons long war (between the Weavers and the Murg).

Forges generally prefer to remain in their inert state, which is in appearance like a gigantic Faberge egg, when not in use. Once they are needed, they will choose a host that is suitable to their needs (someone of good and noble heart for the Weavers Forges, and someone who is easily controlled for the Murg), at which time they transform into a black, almost oil like liquid that surrounds the chosen host, giving them incredible super powers that are far, far beyond what would normally be possible, even to the point of destroying entire worlds with a simple whim if desired. Once their job is done, the Forges abandon their hosts, and return to their egg shaped inert state until they're needed again.

Known Forges

The below names are of known Forges who have been given names by their respective hosts, as they normally do not possess one of their own.

  • Jed (Host: Rodney Evans, Allegiance: Weavers)
  • Kalom (Host: Jalon, Allegiance: Weavers)
  • Unnamed (Host: Drod, Allegiance: Weavers)

The third forge, although unnamed, is sentient like the previous two. However, it is viewed as merely a tool by Drod, rather than a sentient entity like Rodney and Jalon treat theirs.
