Fluidic Armor is an advanced armor technology that uses billions of semi-liquid micro-particles that bond together and form a specialized material that is a super hard. It is solid when at rest, yet can become liquid upon request. The armor is also able to regenerate itself, reproducing replacement particles within its own mass to bulk up or replace lost material. Using these abilities, the armor can thicken as needed, transform, retract out of the way, flow around and over certain objects to protect them, and much more. And, while the armor is considered a "last line of defense" system, the uniqueness of its design, and its durability, allow it great versatility in how it's used and deployed. All Shipkillers within Earthfleet are equipped with this technology, as is the Mythos class.
