Relativity limit

The Relativity Limit is the name given by Earthfleet to the point at which a Coaxial Drive pushing a ship so hard and so fast that it flies apart and is destroyed. The term itself doesn't have anything to do with actual General Relativity, or physics, aside from the structural and material limits of the vehicles in question. The actual source of the phrase comes as somewhat of a joke between a number of the scientists who were originally part of the pioneering efforts of the Coaxial Drive as a tongue in cheek joke to explain what would happen if a ship exceeded its design specifications due to traveling too fast, and ultimately was torn apart as a result. Much to their surprise, however, the joke turned into actual entries in technical manuals that were passed out to the other engineers and crews of the newly created Sergenious class starships, and many others afterwards, thus turning a once joke into an official term that continued on in the fleet for as long as the fleet existed.
