Ahshone is a large, warrior dragon of the 1st order at Morten Weyr, and is one of the dragons who desires to claim Maggy's hand as his life mate. However, she is not interested in him, and actually finds him extremely boring. Her mother, however, is very much committed to seeing the two become spoken for, and later joined together as life mates, much to Maggy's dismay. Her father, Shuman, however, isn't quite so convinced of this. At first he's somewhat for this, as he'd like to see his daughter become spoken for to appease his wife. But later he withdraws his insistence on Maggy choosing Ahshone after he meets Garloond and takes an immediate liking to him.
