The '''Longbow''' is a member of the [[Pathfinder]] subclass of the [[Sergenious]] class [[Shipkiller]]s that was refit as a long range scout ship for use in [[Sol Space]], and the area immediately surrounding it, that has excellent sensor, stealth and speed characteristics which are necessary to allow it to escape it's attackers should it ever be discovered. So, while other Sergenious class ships are built for combat, the scout variant, of which the LongBow is one of several, is focused primarily on scouting and recon.  That doesn't mean the ship can't fight if it has to.  It's just that fighting isn't its primary mission.  It only fights in self defense, and only if it absolutely needs to.

The Longbow is a member of the Pathfinder subclass of the Sergenious class Shipkillers that was refit as a long range scout ship for use in Sol Space, and the area immediately surrounding it, that has excellent sensor, stealth and speed characteristics which are necessary to allow it to escape it's attackers should it ever be discovered. So, while other Sergenious class ships are built for combat, the scout variant, of which the LongBow is one of several, is focused primarily on scouting and recon. That doesn't mean the ship can't fight if it has to. It's just that fighting isn't its primary mission. It only fights in self defense, and only if it absolutely needs to.
