Quhasine

A Quhasine (pronounced "qu-hah-seen") is a humanoid like species best known for the odd, and unusual way in which their species looks, as well as the seemingly backwards way in which their family system is organized and structured, with the female being the dominant member, and the male the passive. The males also tend to act as the caretaker of any offspring they create with their females, whereas the females tend to act as the primary breadwinner. The females also tend to generally be very plain and comely looking, whereas the males dress very colorfully, and feminine in appearance in order to attract a mate, by which to raise children. In many ways, the Quhasine share many similar traits to a number of different bird species found on Earth, although with some obvious differences born out of Quhasine cultural norms.
