Rookmate

In the G'Fondo'Nah language, 'Rookmate is a word used to describe a close friend or companion. These are usually other fellow Fondos, or anyone who is very close to an individual, and very trustworthy, and who is often so trusted by an individual, that they would be allowed to enter their own private rook (aka "nest" or "nursery") which is, in Fondo society, a place so sacred and precious that only the most trusted are allowed in. Therefore, to be a rookmate is to be someone who you would trust with your very life, and that of your offspring, should the need arise.
