The Varnok Prophet is a mysterious individual belonging to the Varnok race, but serving among the Yib "officially", but who secretly works for Phillip Augustus of the Crassians. He plays a prominent roll in the first two books of The Earthfleet Saga, where he pulls the puppet strings behind the scenes for Phillip, acting as a middle man to help Phillip push forward his plans for galactic conquest, while hiding who he truly is, to ensure that he avoids detection and discovery. He is killed during The Battle of Sebius while trying to kill the UGW Chancellor because of his betrayal of Phillip.
