Trovet

A Trovet is a rabbit like species of mammal native to the planet of Offworld. They are surprisingly gentle, and very friendly, not to mention relatively easy to catch, as well as numerous, being both rapid breeders, just like native Earth rabbits, but also regularly repopulated by the controllers to ensure that stocks are kept sufficiently high for reasons of landscape, pest and vermin control, as well as their uses as a food source for racers. There are multiple varieties of Trovet, some white, some brown, some splotched and spotted. However, brown trovets are the most common, with the other varieties being found in places like the Westlands and the White Mountains where it is necessary that they adapt in order to survive, and thus they vary genetically from their more common brown cousins.
