Zirem is the chief of sciences for Trond Weyr, and works under the watchful eye of Weyr Master Zek (and later Jathal when he replaces Zek) to help him out, and see to all the scientific needs of the weyr, both scientific, and technological. He is an uber nerd among dragons, and literally eats, sleeps, and breaths science. He also acts as an occasional advisor to the Dragon Corps as a whole, although his primary duty is to Zek. His superior intelligence among the entire Dragon Kin is unquestioned, and he is quite often consulted by many within the dragon kin when technical solutions and answers are required.
