Kunig is the Weyr Master of Burmal Weyr and is a very quiet leader, and thoughtful. He is the youngest of the three Weyr Masters of the eastern weyrs. While not much is seen of him in the story, his weyr is located in the northern half of the continent of Contina, in the area in which the country of Grootwand and the city of ReusBerg exist.
