Navigational Guidance and Map Table

A Navigational Guidance and Map Table is a two dimensional controller based navigational technology that works like a gigantic GPS device, similar to a Garmin, which provides the user with information on their current location, as well as all other known locations, obstacles, hazards, topography and other useful information needed by anyone using it. It's the larger cousin of the Navigator Compass used by racers to help them navigate through the race. Three of these were lost in a shuttle crash while being transported between controller bases and were left at the crash site with the assumption that they would be too damaged to be worth recovering. However, exploratory and salvage teams from the city of Subton discovered them in the southern woods of the Unity Empire during an exploration trip and brought them, as well as three quantum reactors back to the city, all of which were found to have survived the crash and were in perfect working order. These were later installed on three of their Balao class submarines, the Calypso, the Odyssey, and the Thor. Other items were also recovered from the crash site. However these were found to be the most useful, and thus were put into immediate use.
