Flake (his code name, not his real name) is a Gadal man in service to the Nyuishians via the Red Paladin corps. While small and rabbit like, his speed, agility, and skill as a fighter is priceless to the Nyuishians. He is also the partner of Jalon, and the more level headed member of the two man team, and acts as a moderating influence to the hot headed Jalon. He is also a master of technology, and exists as a technologically enhanced lifeform, but not a cyborg. He's also a genius with technology, and puts everything he can to greatest use. Flake is also infamous for using tons of Gadalian colloquialisms and phrases that annoy Jalon half to death.

Unlike his partner, Jalon, and their supervisor, Shanomar, who prefer to fight in close quarters with swords, Flake's preferred weapon is the pistol. This, combined with his skills of Gunkata, a form of martial arts centered around the use of the pistol in close combat, is a deadly force, and one to be greatly feared. His preferred pistol is a small, combat, but powerful plasma sub-compact that packs twice the punch of weapons twice their size, have good durability, accuracy, and longevity in a fight, and are easy to use. He also is a good sniper, and has a very good hit record in doing that. However, in most cases, he only fights up close, leaving sniping for situations when that's not possible.
