Hyperband

Hyperband is an advanced communications and signaling technology based heavily around quantum entanglement, that uses the Hyper Space level of subspace to facilitate secure, extremely long range, hyper fast, and extremely secure communications that allow nearly instantaneous voice, video, and data transmission over vast, almost limitless distances. While the technology itself is known to nearly everyone in the galaxy, it is used almost exclusively by Earthfleet and the Brayburn Society, as other races prefer the slower, but more easily implemented Subspace communications systems instead, removing numerous, unwanted levels of complexity that exist in both encrypted, and normal unencrypted Hyperband transmissions. Also, unlike subspace communications, hyperband is believed, although not yet proven, to have a nearly unlimited range, and requires far less energy to achieve such long distance transmissions, which is an advantage in itself.
