Larry Pennfield is a Red Paladin operative who secretly infiltrates the Brayburn Society and eventually rises to the rank of Vice-Chancellor. He is sent to Sol Space to do this with the knowledge that, at some point he will need to take over leadership of the Society, and Earthfleet indirectly, in order to activate the fleet and put it to use saving the galaxy.
