Lyca is elder sister to Eeka, and several litters removed from her, being 5 years her elder, and among those of the second litter of her parents, whereas Eeka was among those of the fifth. She is a thoughtful wolfling and a sometimes advisor to her younger siblings, and also others in their family. She is the mate of Splitgrowl, who is the leader of one of the many packs that make up the family of the Ratinar Wolves. She later on joins Eeka in forming the Canine Council, the organization that will take over in the wake of the deaths of Maul Ratinar, and their six elder wolf brothers, including Angus.
