The Order of 9 is a tiny group of 9 head monks, one each for each of The Nine Ancient Races who are part of the Yib and stand as representatives of their respective races within the ecumenical religious organization, and whom are located in the chief monastery of the Yib on their homeworkd in Neutral Space. It is quite often said of the Order of 9 that, whatever happens there, good or bad, will soon spread to the rest of the galaxy as a whole. In reality, they are not the motivating factor for major events within the galaxy, but merely the barometer, with things happening between them first, before they become reality among the nine out among the stars.
