Pegasus

The Pegasus class is the third in a long and well respected line of Earthfleet Shipkiller combat vessels. However, like the Skipjack, only a handful were ever made as the ship, while big and powerful, was ultimately deemed a tactical failure because, due to its size, it lost all of the advantages that made the Sergenious and Samurai class such great ships. The Pegasus supported a crew of 15, whereas the previous two only required a crew of nine, and it suffered greatly from much slower speeds, decreased maneuverability, and less survivability compared to its lesser cousins. It's only real tactical advantage was that it deployed significantly more powerful weaponry than either the Sergenious or Samurai classes. However, even this was superseded with the release of the next generation of shipkillers. Only fifteen of the Pegasus class were built before the class was abandoned.
