Gender: Male
Alliances: Brayburn Society

Phyland Renwald is the chief galactic diplomat for Sol Space to the wider galaxy, operating first out of the UGW homeworld of Sebius, as a diplomat there, and later in the ASW after the fall of the UGW. His close friend and fellow diplomat Finch follows him nearly everywhere he goes, and does many things to help him in his efforts to protect Earth, seek peace within the galaxy (and most especially for Earth), and do it all within a universe where corruption, prejudice and rivalry are very prolific. His two office assistants, who also secretly work for Fleet Intelligence, are Julius and Mary. They also double as his body guards.

Of all the Ambassadors on Sebius that Phyland has to deal with regularly, one of the races he despises the most is the Ahaktak because they are so annoying, and pushy, and will not take no for an answer, even if what they have is something nobody wants. Phyland generally gets around using specially deployed shipkillers from either the Sergenious or Samurai class. However, after the fall of the UGW, and the rise of the ASW, he is given a special starship, the Bromus, as a diplomatic cruiser designed to meet all of his personal, and defensive needs.

Also, while it's not one of his more well known attributes, Phyland is highly skilled, and experienced in martial arts, with mastery level in several art forms, including Shaolin and Krav Maga. This isn't something he normally broadcasts, as he prefers to keep this fact somewhat quiet. However, on several occasions he is given opportunity to use these skills in his own defense, and that of others. His mastery of hand to hand martial combat comes from the fact that his father was the head of hand to hand combat training for the entirety of Earthfleet for three decades. As such, these skills were drilled into Phyland from an early age.

It was this constant training and drilling that eventually led Phyland to enter the diplomatic corps, and later get assigned to duty on Sebius, in order to escape his father, and his constant, enforced training of his son. Yet, despite leaving, and going 20k light years away from home, Phyland found himself drawn back to his training, as it provided him with a useful means of relaxation and release at times when he was under the greatest stress. As such, his skills never wavered, and instead continued to grow to the level of mastery, despite being a full time diplomat.
