The Children of Ember

The Children of Ember is an upcoming novel in The Offworld Chronicles universe that takes place after the events of After Offworld. It covers a group of human friends, who are joined by two dragons and a small pack of wolves, and talking, intelligent horses, on an adventure to the abandoned Syndicate world of Ember. But this isn't just a vacation, or a sightseeing tour. The four humans of this team, along with their other companions, travel to the planet, both to explore it, and to resolve the mystery of why Ember was abandoned. However, shortly after arriving they find themselves in a struggle for power between the nations of the planet, and a struggle for their own survival.
