UEF Columbus

The UEF Columbus is a first generation Earth derived starship, akin in design, and technology, to the starship Destiny, in the time prior to its capture by Za'gard, and its subsequent refit, that is used as a training, and acclimation vessel, for the people of Earth, to help them take their first steps into the technology, and experience, of living in the much bigger universe. The starship itself, albeit derived from obsolete Brayburn Society technology, is built and maintained by the United Earth Federation, and crewed by volunteers from all over the world. And, while it is indeed primitive in design, compared to what the Society regularly uses, it makes for a great training platform on which Earth, and the members of the UEF, can learn, grow, and prepare themselves for bigger things to come.
