Vocrac

Vocrac is the name of the Gayik'Von homeworld, and the origin of all Gayik'Von within the galaxy. The planet is a stormy world, filled with lots of oceans, lakes, and rivers, which is perfect for reptilian and amphibian life. And, while the Gayik'Von themselves are not aquatic, their love of water is not the slightest bit diminished. This abundance of water on their homeworld benefits the Gayik'Von in that it's a perfect breeding ground for insects, rodents, and small birds, which are their primary food supply. The Gayik'Von are not agricultural, and thus neither is the bulk of their planet used for farming or similar occupations. It's only later, when they realize that growing large food crops to feed the small animals and insects that they prefer to eat do they begin to develop agricultural enterprises to feed their primary food source.

Thankfully, to this end, Vocrac is perfect for this kind of food production, with ample rains, rich soils, and vast greenery that is perfect for fueling their primary means of food production. Vocrac, despite being the Gayik'Von homeworld, tends to be sparsely populated in comparison to other worlds within the republic. This is because the Gayik'Von at one time almost destroyed their world with over expansion of cities and industry. However, an effort was later made to undo this, which resulted in returning Vocrac to its former green and lush glory just as it was in the early days of the Gayik'Von. This effort to save their homeworld also forced the Gayik'Von to relocate their central government to other planets within their republic more suited to the urban and industrial needs of such locations, which turned Vocrac into what amounts to a living tourist attraction and historical landmark.
