Loki is the name of a Yandian spy befriended by Mike Clayton and his crew, who joins them on their adventures to unravel the mystery of the Weavers and their Forges, traveling with them all across the galaxy as they do. Patch's history and allegiances, outside of the Yandians themselves, are a complete mystery. However, he does share many similarities to Patch in that he's very skilled at martial arts, and prefers the battle staff as his primary weapon. However, unlike Patch's weapon, Loki's is more like a collapsible spear, as both ends are pointed, rather than blunted, which allows it to double as a weapon of assassination whenever necessary.

Loki is also looked down upon in his culture, and generally despised by most fellow Yandians, as he is a spy, which is seen as a dark occupation, and thus he is relegated to the shadows in most cases. He's only tolerated because of his incredible ability to gather information. The ways in which he does it, though, are primarily what's frowned upon as they are less than honorable in their methods and actions. Even so, Loki proves to be a valuable asset to Mike's team, and a very thoughtful and wise advisor. He is also highly respected by the entire crew, especially Jordan Decker, who at first doesn't trust him, but eventually grows to like Loki, and sees him as a fellow spy with the same end goals in mind, even if the means to achieve them differ.

It's never discovered who he reports to, or what his true mission is. If anything, when Mike Clayton's team first meet him, Loki seems to be flying by the seat of his pants, and just happened to get lucky in crossing paths with Mike's crew, even though he implies that this was his goal from the start. Through his adventures with Mike and his crew, he becomes strong friends with them. Despite this, after the events of The Weaver's Forge, it's not known if he remains in further contact with them. Although, being that he's a fellow spook, it's very likely that he does keep in contact with Jordan, with whom he would almost certain trade mutually beneficial information on a regular basis.
