Vargah

The Vargah, Lareshian for "Vain Hope", is the chief flagship of the Juinah mafia boss Za'gard. It is also the first ship to encounter Captain Edmond Clayton and the Society starship Destiny on its maiden voyage from Earth to the dark side of the moon, leading to the capture of the Destiny and her crew. It is eventually captured by Pelk, turned over to the Gayik'Von, recaptured by Za'gard, and then later heavily damaged during a battle between the Destiny and Commander Tay'Tan's ship the Kal'eck, It is eventually intercepted and destroyed by a small squadron of Gayik'Von destroyers. The Vargah is larger and more powerful than a typical Gayik'Von destroyer, such as the Kal'eck, but is not large or powerful enough to be classified as a standard cruiser, thus making it roughly equal to a light cruiser or a heavy destroyer, even though it is of Lareshian design, and thus not directly comparable to most Gayik'Von starships. Even so, by itself, it's more than an equal for the Destiny and the Kal'eck.
