Command Core

Command Core is the name for the area of Sol Space that includes Earth and the space immediately around it. This is considered both a "last stand" defensive region, a place that the fleet will make its last stand in defense of Earth, should all other defenses fail, as well as the central command and coordination for all Sol Sector defense and operations. Inside of Command Core is the two primary command stations, Command One and Command Two, one of which houses the fleet Grand Admiral and his staff, as well as the Vice-Grand Admiral, and all of their immediate command staff, including the 8 regional Admirals, and a portion of the reserve defensive fleet that is responsible for protecting Earth in the event that such a last stand event should ever occur. Only once has the Command Core ever been breached, and at no fault of Earthfleet or the Society, as the enemy was able to infiltrate Sol Space and Command Core through the use of an inter-dimensional gate system with the ability to bypass all of Earth's defensive shielding and protections, such as the Oort and Kuiper Perimeters. The station is used primarily by Earthfleet Command.
