Licinius Magnus is the right hand man of Phillip Augustus and most trusted advisor. And, while he is willing to follow Phillip to the ends of the galaxy for most of his time with him, at the very end he betrays Phillip. He does this when he realizes the foolishness Phillip has displayed, which, in turn, has lead to the destruction of the Crassian people. He sides with Phillip's enemies, including Earthfleet and The Nine Ancient Races for a brief time, allowing them to win, before being killed, along with Phillip, and the last of the Crassians, at the end of The Battle of the Haven.
