The Nova class of Battleships are an older light battleship class employed exclusively in Sol Sector by Earthfleet, and is a defensive starship design modeled heavily after similar Gayik'Von designs of relatively the same era. While it was not considered state of the art by the Gayik'Von at the time it was created, as it's built off of older light battleship designs and technology of the Gayik'Von during that period (they were first built in the early 1940's Earth time), the ship was created and developed through a very close partnership with the Gayik'Von, who played a large part in the design and construction of the ship, and its early prototypes.
