Slipstream Drive, also known as Quantum Tetriatic Nanostream Wave Drive is an FTL technology that creates a quantum waveform around the ship, which then draws the vessel down into what is known as "Slip Space". This is a region of space below what is commonly referred to as subspace, and is a much shorter, smaller area of space than even subspace, allowing for much faster rates of flight than common subspace dependent drives, such as Warp Drive. Once a ship enters slipspace, it's just a matter of creating a quantum ripple behind the ship, which is sorta like an ocean wave made of energy, that then propels the ship forward at faster than light speeds with the ship essentially "surfing" on top of the wave as it moves forward. To exit Slip Space a ship need merely power down its Slipstream Drive, after which the ship will naturally rise up through the planes of subspace and gently return to its home in normal space. Only a handful of races have ever used this drive technology due to the difficulty in achieving such FTL flight. One of the few to ever use it was the Razkor prior to their discovery of Jump Drive.
