Fallon is a youngling dragon of just over 50 years (which translates to roughly 5 years old in dragon years). However, despite his relative youth, he is extremely wise beyond his years, and very regularly undertakes missions for his grandfather, Weyr Master Zek of Trond Weyr. His parents are Adar and Kasett.
Overview
Fallon, despite being as young as he is, is physically immature in appearance and stature, being half the size of other dragons his age, making him the runt of the weyr. He is off green in color, and carries himself in a very cultured and debonair manner, even to the point of seeming smug and arrogant at times. However, where he lacks physically, he makes up for in mental prowess and wisdom. He is often sent on missions by his grandfather that are impractical for other dragons to undertake, or when his tiny stature is of necessity, or advantage, to the mission at hand. Most of the missions he undertakes require great stealth, and cunning, as they are instrumental in the battle against their masters, the controllers.
Due to his physical immaturity, and under developed wings, Fallon is unable to fly. However, because of his small size, slightly less than half that of most dragons his age, he is able to easily use controller created point to point teleportation technology to get around and move wherever he so chooses to. He also possesses the ability to cloak himself, and change his appearance, using embedded holographic technology, to make himself appear as other people, objects, or animals as needed. But, unlike adult dragons who carry a small quantum reactor within their bodies to power and maintain all of the controller technology installed within their bodies, Fallon is too small to receive one yet, and thus is required periodically to return to Trond, or any other neighboring weyr, to recharge the energy cells that power his implants.
Simon's Team
At first, Fallon's relationship with Simon's Team is strictly business focused with no real attachment to them. However, over time he comes to like them, and eventually becomes friends with Simon and the others, sometimes going out of his way, and even stretching the rules somewhat, in order to protect them as best he can within the limitations placed on him, and the Dragon Corps, by their masters. He eventually employs several other dragons in this effort, whom also become friends with Simon's team, which include the likes of Magendra Tallenon (aka Maggy) and Garloond.
Fallon's Redemption
Fallon, in the aftermath of the battle to free Offworld, meets a beautiful white dragoness named Snow, a youngling of Trond Weyr, who befriends him, and begins to help him to not only heal from all of the deep, and painful experiences of his life, which have left him nearly emotionless, and quietly bitter. It is through his relationship with Snow that his heart begins to soften, and discover feelings of joy that he'd never felt before. It is also during this time that he learns the reason for why both he, and Snow, are unusually small for their age, as well as why he possesses such incredible genius, and intelligence, that is far beyond that of a typical youngling his age.
It is through this discovery, and the healing that Snow helps him find, that allows Fallon to find both peace, and healing, if only in part. Even so, through this, the two of them become best friends, and build a bulletproof friendship that lasts the rest of their lives. Eventually the two of them marry, and go on to have many, many exciting adventures together. Fallon also reconciles with his grandfather Zek before he dies, which makes Zek very happy.
