Trell is a chief Yandian librarian and the boss of Six Paws. While he appears to be a thoughtful, information focused Yandian like Six Paws, it is discovered that he has other, less honorable plans for Captain Edmond Clayton and his crew; plans that involve using them for his own personal and illicit gain. But it is not money or fame that he seeks, but rather the one thing that all men and aliens desire everywhere: Namely, power. Pure, unlimited, unchallenged power. However, those plans are eventually dashed as, through the course of the events in First Dawn, Six Paws and his Nyuishian Allies uncover his treachery and, in turn, execute him for it, thus removing him as a threat to the galaxy.
