Trell is a chief Yandian librarian and the boss of Six Paws. While he appears to be a thoughtful, information focused Yandian like Six Paws, it is discovered that he has other, less honorable plans for Captain Edmond Clayton and his crew; plans that involve using them for his own personal and illicit gain. But it is not money or fame that he seeks, but rather the one thing that all men and aliens everywhere desire: Namely, power. Pure, unlimited, unchallenged power. However, this desire is loathsome and detestable to the Yandians, especially Six Paws. However, he alone is unable to deal with Trell's greed. So, working together with the Nyuishians, he is instrumental in crushing those plans over the course of the events in First Dawn. Eventually, once his plans had been thwarted, he is executed by Shanomar, thus removing him as a further threat to the galaxy.
