Captain Ebenezer is a stout, hardy, and well seasoned sea captain and merchant who operates regularly on the waters of The Reaping Sea and commonly ferries passengers and cargo across the sea to The Four Kingdoms on the opposite shoreline, as well as to numerous other cities and nations spread out around the perimeter of the sea. And, while he is a biomechanoid, living in and among the humans of the region, and beholden to The Syndicate, his loyalty to them is not entirely perfect, as he holds a secret alliance with Zek and many other individuals around Offworld, and just as equally seeks the freeing of all who are on Offworld just as Zek and many others do. The captain's look, speech and personality are very pirate like, and he carries with him many of the well known and common traits of the most famous pirates of the great golden age of piracy on Earth. His first officer is also a biomechanoid like himself and shares the same views. Due to the fickleness and malevolent nature of his masters, he has lost several ships to Sea Storms on The Reaping Sea, nearly costing him his life several times in the process. However, Ebenezer is such a stubborn individual that even their attempts at genocide can't stop him, and he and his first officer always find a way to spring back, return to Donville, and begin again with other ships of his sizable and respectable fleet.

Fun Fact: The character design of Captain Ebenezer was partially inspired by Hector Barbossa from the movie series, Pirates of the Caribbean. While the two characters are uniquely different, they do share a number of similarities and personality traits.
