Gorg War

The Gorg War, sometimes referred to as The Great War, is a military conflict occurring on the planet Braisail in the early 1200's GA which involved a major military conquest of extermination perpetrated by the Gorg and Midazin armies (the Midazin began the war merely controlling and directing the war, but later participated directly when the war turned against their Gorg pawns) against the Yigzan nation. Despite the overwhelming size of the Gorg army, the Yigzan fought brilliantly and bravely, and were able to frustrate the efforts of the Gorg army, slowing their regular advances to little more than a crawl. The Yigzan eventually stopped the Gorg advance at the Central Ridge Line and forced them into a stalemate for a period of time before the main body of the Burgon Lions arrived, creating fear and confusion in the Gorg lines, which eventually drove them into full on retreat. Seeing their plans falling apart, the Midazin soon entered the war, but had little more than a forestalling effect on the conflict, but did nothing to positively affect the outcome in their favor. Eventually the Sattazin entered the war on the side of the Yigzan, and quickly overwhelmed both the Gorg and Midazin, ultimately forcing them into unconditional surrender.
