Taria

Taria is one of four Gayik'Von youth who befriend Captain Edmond Clayton and his crew upon their arrival on the planet of Jalc. She, like Pelk, is very brilliant, and an engineering genius, and is instrumental, along with Pelk, in the rebuilding of the Destiny and the later technological genesis of the Brayburn Society upon the return of the Destiny to Earth. She is also not only the friend of Pelk, but later becomes his girlfriend, and eventually his wife.
