The Marargon Invasion

The Marargon Invasion was an incursion by the hive race known as the Marargon into the Milky Way galaxy in search of resources to feed and supply their vast super hives with all that they needed to continue living and survive. A unified force of Earthfleet, Gayik'Von, Tragarians, and other races, both great and small, joined together to defeat the Marargon by force. However, even with their unified stance, the Marargon prove to be too powerful an enemy, in spite of being inferior technologically. It eventually takes the tactical genius of Mike Clayton, and the 8 Protomatter Torpedos that he still secretly carried on the Sergenious, to finally defeat the Marargon, and destroy all but one hive, whose queen foresaw the defeat of her sister queens, and chose instead to ally herself, and her hive, with forces from the ASW. By betraying her fellow queens, her hive alone survives the war.

As a reward for helping them save the galaxy, she, and her hive, were given the sole rights to a small star cluster on the upper regions of the galactic plane, just above the Tragarian empire, to call their own, so long as they agreed to never act aggressively towards the galaxy, or she, and her hive, would be destroyed just like her sisters were. Knowing that ensuring peace would be in the best interests of her hive, she willingly agrees, after which the Marargon enjoy a long time of peace within the Milky Way galaxy. Eventually the Marargon outgrow their little star cluster, and thus pack up and move on to another galaxy to avoid causing a war for resources, and thus their guaranteed extermination. Knowing what awaits them if they return, the Marargon never again set foot either in, or near the Milky Way galaxy.
