Echo Military Labs is a scientific facility within the Yigzan nation that is run by all three branches of the military (Army, Air Force and Navy) and is used in developing new, innovative and effective weapons systems designed to improve the fighting capabilities of the Yigzan and defend the country from all enemies, foreign and domestic. The laboratory itself is a medium sized complex of buildings situated not far from a small village that houses all of the scientists, and some of the officers who work at the facility. At first the village is small, somewhat poorly kept (as were the labs) and pretty much a ghost town when everyone is at work.

But later on, with the help of Delgra, the village is expanded to almost 3x's its original size, modernized, with paved roads, and more, and so is the laboratories as well. The village and the labs are attacked by the Gorg during a failed raid that was meant to capture all of the advanced technology being developed there to help the Yigzan in their war against the Gorg. That attack is ultimately thwarted by Yigzan military shock troops. It wasn't long after this incident that the five lions of The Original Five were born. They were also deployed for the first time with their teams into the war to begin testing their ability to change the direction of events, and the fortunes of the Yigzan, who were slowly being driven back during this time.

The six lions were deployed, along with their men, along the Central Ridge Line where the Yigzan dug in and brought the advance of the Gorg to a halt. Shortly after this the laboratory was abandoned for a while as all operations, and creation of the lions, was moved to Ferrell Black's northern research facility where the remaining 650 lions were built. After the war Delgra and his teams moved back into the facility where they remained for well over a decade afterwards as they continued to improve Yigzan military technology to prevent another war like the Gorg War from ever happening again.
