The Yandians are a member of The Nine Ancient Races, and the information nerds of the galaxy. They are a mammalian race of anthropomorphic cats not unlike a tabby or common house cat. The Yandians are both skilled at information gathering, as well as personal close quarters combat, including hand to hand martial arts. This is because, while the Yandians despise war and fighting, as it has the potential to destroy knowledge, they understand the need to protect the vast wealth of information they have collected. And thus, every Yandian, most especially their librarians, are taught how to defend that knowledge at all costs by any means necessary. The Yandians are also a very benevolent race, sharing much of what they know with the galaxy, either directly, or through the use of libraries known as Dens of Knowledge.
