Six Paws is the chief librarian of Jalc, a Yandian who gained his peculiar nickname from the fact that he has six digits on each of his four paws instead of the customary five as most other Yandians do. He is the key player in a detailed plan by the Yandians and the Nyuishians to put events in motion to both welcome the newly arrived Gin from Earth, and set them on their way to becoming respectable new members of the galactic community, as well as carefully and craftily bring about the demise of the eight Juinah supreme lords, one of whom, namely Za'gard, is unintentionally instrumental in initiating the events that eventually lead to his demise, and the severe crippling, for a time, of the Juinah mafia in the process, the latter of which has been a thorn in the side of the Gayik'Von for centuries.

Six Paws is also highly instrumental in the early days of the Brayburn Society's first steps into the gigantic new world of the wider galaxy. He, and a group of fellow Yandian Librarians, come to Earth, just after the events of First Dawn, and begin to instruct the Society on everything they need to know to become proper citizens of the galaxy. He, along with Pelk and his friends, and many others, help supercharge the Society's science and technology, quickly bringing them into the Warp Age, allowing them to slowly begin to stand on their own as they to continue to grow in knowledge and understanding. Eventually, once satisfied with the Society's progress, he leaves Earth, and returns to Jalc, where he remains until his retirement some years later.
